<p>As promised, here’s a bit more detail on the build. I’m actually fairly close to completing this thing, once it’s done (and working) I’ll go back and really detail the build process.</p>
<p>Here’s the main board, minus the op amp (LM308) and the transistor:</p>

<p>Finally, I got my enclosure, and have drilled all the holes (a drill press & unibit is essential, if you ask me). Couldn’t resist temporarily putting all the bits together. </p>

<p>After spending way too much time (and money) assembling my first guitar rig, I was pleased to find a active DIY community online. Thousands of schematics of effects are freely available, both commercially available products in addition to entirely new creations. This seemed a perfect combination of art, music, and electronic geekery to me, so I set out on my first project. Since I was a minutes away from ordering a Proco RAT, it seemed fitting to build a clone of that classic box. Not just any clone however…</p>
